Fortnite Battle Royale Week 9 Challenges – Season 7 Cheat Sheet and How-to Guide Overview

Season 7 in Fortnite Battle Royale is nearing an end.  What a season, we’ve seen the Cube disappear into Loot Lake and recreate the geographies around that area and just recently experienced the Ice Storm Event.  That being said, Week 9 Challenges in Season 7 of Fortnite Battle Royale are out and seem to be about medium difficulty.  The biggest difference in the Week 9 Challenges is that Epic Games added a little more creativity, specifically, the in game concert featuring Marshmello. We have put together a Week 9 Cheat sheet and how-to guide for completing each Week 9 Challenge in Fortnite Season 7.  By completing all Week 9 challenges you should be rewarded with 9,000 XP and 50 Battle Stars.

If still catching up to Weekly Challenges from Week 8 check them out here. If you are still catching up from Weekly Challenges prior to Week 8 use our search feature and you should get the cheat sheet and how-to guides pretty quickly.  Let’s start by reviewing both the Free and Battle Pass Challenges for Week 9 in Fortnite.

Week 9 Season 7 Fortnite Cheat Sheet and How-to Guide

Let’s start by discussing how to complete the most difficult challenges in Week 9 Season 7 of Battle Royale first.  The Battle Pass challenge, three shotgun eliminations and the Free challenge of eliminating three opponents at Junk or Retail are the most difficult.  Retail is probably the easiest place to complete this challenge as traffic is always high.  Playing Duo, Squads or a LTM will most likely make this challenge easier.

Completing two timed trials on an X-4 Stormwing may be difficult as well.  You have three places on the Fortnite map where you can complete the X-4 Stormwing timed trials, we have noted them in the map at the end of the post (H/T SquatingDog) and you can find a post here.  One thing to keep in mind, Epic Games reduced the spawn rate of the X-4 so they may be difficult to find.  We have posted in the past on the locations of the X-4 Stormwing bases here, check it out so you know where to land if you are a noob.

Dance on a Sundial, Oversized Coffee Mug and Metal Dog Head

The “Dance on a Sundial, Oversized Coffee Mug and Metal Dog Head” is a Battle Pass challenge worth 5 Battle Stars.  We have noted the locations below.  One thing to remember, you may have some “sweaty” players try to destroy these locations so just as long as you know where they are you can still Dance and get credit for it.  Good luck!

  • The Sundial is located in the Paradise Palms area specifically West of Paradise near a small pond / lake.
  • The Oversized Coffee Mug is located in Dusty Diner.
  • The Metal Dog Head located in Junk Junction.

Remaining Free and Battle Pass Challenge Cheat Sheet and How-to Guide

We have noted the various golden balloon locations in the map at the end of the post (H/T SquatingDog), this is an easy challenge however it may take a few matches to complete.  The “Land at” Challenge will take at least five matches, again easy.  The spawn rates of the Sneaky Snowman seem pretty high, simply use them in three different matches and you’ll get credit for 5 Battle Stars.
